After graduating from the University of Mississippi School of Law, founding partner Kevin Frye moved to Jackson, Mississippi to practice with an established law firm in the area. While in Jackson, Kevin focused his practice on corporate and insurance defense litigation, and gained valuable experience as an associate attorney. Thereafter, Kevin decided to return to Oxford and worked as a Law Clerk for Judges Lackey, Howorth and Elliott of the Third Judicial District Circuit Court and later for a law firm in Oxford. These experiences gave Kevin an insiders view of the local court system as well as helping form long-lasting relationships with members of the local legal community.
In late 2007, Kevin decided to open his own law practice. He quickly gained respect in the community as someone who works diligently and passionately to defend his clients. As his success grew, so did his firm, to the point where he was recognized in 2009 as “Oxford’s Favorite Attorney,” a recognition he has repeated each year since.
Throughout his career as a solo practitioner, Kevin hired and trained law clerks from the University of Mississippi School of Law. In January 2014, former clerk Brooke Reeves joined the firm as the first Associate Attorney.
Brooke has also quickly become a leader in the legal community in Oxford. In 2015, Brooke graduated from Leadership Lafayette and was elected to serve on the Board of the Lafayette County Bar Association, eventually serving as President. In 2016, Brooke was elected to serve on the Board of the Oxford Area Young Lawyers Association and in that capacity she has served as delegate to the American Bar Association Annual Meeting in 2016 and 2018. Brooke is also actively involved in the Mississippi Bar Association where she serves on the Committee on Women in the Profession.
In August 2018, Brooke was promoted to partner and the firm formerly known as Kevin W. Frye, PLLC became Frye Reeves, PLLC.
