Kevin W. Frye, PLLC successfully handles a variety of matters for a diverse client base. While the nature of some cases requires that they remain confidential, others are public and can be shared.

Notable cases include:

  • Representation of a Lafayette County resident charged with possession of more than 2.5 pounds of marijuana with intent to distribute. Investigation of the facts and analysis of the legal issues surrounding the seizure of evidence ultimately led to a negotiated dismissal of the case.
  • Representation of a young woman charged with arson and kidnapping and facing life in prison. Investigation of the facts surrounding the arrest and negotiation with the State led to resolution of the case before it was presented to the grand jury. The client was offered a negotiated plea to lesser charges and received a sentence of probation.
  • Representation of a teen under indictment for three counts of armed robbery and facing life in prison. Following three days of trial in Marshall County Circuit Court the jury hung in favor of acquittal. The case was not retried – rather, the client was offered a negotiated plea to a lesser offense and received a sentence of probation.
  • Representation of a commercial tenant in a wrongful eviction action brought by the landlord, a local church. Following months of litigation in Lafayette County Circuit Court, summary judgment was granted in favor of the client, and a subsequent appeal by the landlord to the Mississippi Supreme Court was denied. The case was settled before trial.
